Walking reduces blood pressure, tones muscles, protects your heart and strengthens bones.  And it can help you to lose weight.  What more reason do you need?

Apart from a good pair of shoes there is nothing you’re likely to need that isn’t already in your wardrobe.

Unlike going to the gym or playing a sport, walking can be just another part of your day. Read more on Walking for Beginners…

I had to appear as a witness in a court case today, scary experience.  What if I said the wrong thing? What if I couldn’t answer a question?

As the time approached my mouth got drier, my hands began to shake…..  I knew I had to calm down.

I sat  up straight on my chair in the waiting room and, ignoring those around me, I began to do the energy builder.   Slowly, very slowly.  My heart gradually stopped pounding, my hands no longer shook.

By the time I was called the energy builder had done it’s work. I walked in, took my place and all was well.

How does a working mother manage if her child becomes ill?

We leave for work with a cheerful kiss and wave –  and with guilt in our hearts –  knowing our child would much prefer to be with us, no matter how wonderful the nanny or au pair.

Or do we harden our hearts and pack them off to school when they might be sickening for something because we don’t have enough back up at home and it would mean taking time off work?Read more on How Do I Manage if my Child is Sick?…

I’ve been a healer for 30 years and have helped a great many people to become well again.  I have used healing as part of my homoeopathic practice and have found it especially useful in helping to relieve the pains of advanced cancer.

I mostly heal through the client’s  aura, feeling the energy for any irregularities , and then giving healing until those irregularities have been smoothed out.  And I’m often able to tell a client that something that they were unaware of is brewing  and when something they were worried about has been cleared.

I was amused to learn that one client felt so much better after healing Read more on What is Theta Healing and How does it work?…

Sometimes we get so caught up in the ‘I’ve got to get this done now, no time to spend on other things that we actually miss out on life and then feel that because tasks seem to take us a long time to do we haven’t time for anything else – what a cycle to go round in! The following highlights one way to break the cycle.

‘You know, I don’t mean to be funny but I was hoping to get this article done tonight.’ My dad said, apologetically.Read more on Desperate for a Holiday but just can’t find the time?…

dreamstime_6132153I was born in Uganda and raised in London, England but no matter where I lived my home has always been an Asian home.  My mother has adopted many Western ways but has always retained a great belief in traditional Indian remedies which she has passed on to me.

How do they work? In most cases my answer is “I have no idea”, but for me they have been proven to work time after time. I hope you find them helpful too.Read more on Natural healing from an Indian Kitchen…
