But what’s really interesting is how people continue with their day to day lives when faced with vein-popping stress? I mean, the new age thing like Zen or yoga is one of the good things and it actually works. Is there room in our modern world for the intellectual side of people? It kind of had me thinking that there really must be something in this ‘mind-over-matter’ thing.

Humour is indeed pretty much the best medicine there is whatever your situation. Despite what’s happening in your life, and whatever ordeals, problems and issues you may be struggling with, it’s better to laugh while facing the troubles with a clear mind than project anger through a clouded vision.

One of my favourite celebrities of all time may have to be Woody Allen. Now this is one guy who gives you the in-your-face bluntness that he pulls out with gusto, even without even trying. You can talk just about anything with the man, and he’s bound to mock the subject and you’ll end up laughing rather than being upset about it.

Woody Allen has this to say:

1. “Money is better than poverty, if only for financial reasons

2. “I believe there is something out there watching us. Unfortunately, it’s the government.”

3. “There are worse things in life than death. Have you ever spent an evening with an insurance salesman?”

4. “Love is the answer, but while you’re waiting for the answer, sex raises some pretty interesting questions.”

5. “A fast word about oral contraception. I asked a girl to go to bed with me, she said ‘no’.”

6. “Basically my wife was immature. I’d be at home in the bath and she’d come in and sink my boats.”

7. “I am not afraid of death, I just don’t want to be there when it happens.”

8. “I am thankful for laughter, except when milk comes out of my nose.”

9. “If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans.”

And despite what may happen to all of us in the next ten, twenty, or even thirty years, I guess we have to learn to see things in a different light. I can’t seem to imagine life without a little piece of wisdom that could guide me. Whether we’re religious or not, or whether Life According to Woody Allen is more your cup of tea, it takes courage to accept your fears and learn how to deal with.

And to sum things up, here is the last nugget of wisdom to go by however, whenever, and wherever we may be.

10. “The talent for being happy is appreciating and liking what you have, instead of what you don’t have.”

It may be difficult for an individual, no matter what age, to admit they need help in controlling their problem with anger. However this is the initial step to treatment and learning how to control these emotions. Effective anger management help is assistance in discovering methods or strategies for managing anger problems or if fortunate enough, eliminating them all together. Effective anger management help will equip an individual to face their anger issues with a better attitude, as well as develop skills to control their reactions to confrontational situations.

Three common reactions to a stressful or irritating situation are bottling up emotions, getting defensive or lashing out. Neither of these reactions is healthy or a solution to managing anger issues. When an individual decides to bottle up their emotions of anger instead of seeking anger management help, there can be several negative consequences. Bottling up anger may be okay for the moment but the individual will soon discover the problem does not go away. Refusing to deal with the situation may eventually unleash negative thoughts which cause the individual to become even angrier. Bottled up anger can also transform into resentment which can last for an eternity. Without dealing with the problem, a person may accept the blame and guilt, causing them to feel discouraged and bad about themselves. Effective anger management help would help an individual work on these attempts to cope with challenging situations.

Getting defensive is a common reaction for people who have problems controlling their temper. Reacting quickly to upsetting encounters without considering the repercussions is normal for people with anger issues. Acting on raw emotions of hurt or pain will produce very hostile reactions and likely promote hostile responses. This is not effective in dealing with such situations. Effect anger management help would encourage people not to be defensive but rather evaluate situations before acting on them.

Situations which provoke anger often cause people to lash out. Using physical or verbal aggressions, individuals act on impulse. These negative impulsive reactions produce negative consequences and usually results which are later regretted. It is easy for an angry person to lash out but it is not quite so easy to find positive results from such behavior. Lashing out doesn’t resolve problems, rather causes more problems. In the end an individual will realize that their rash behavior didn’t solve a thing. Effective anger management help will teach the individual to control their anger and restrain from lashing out.

Anger management help can be effective if people are serious and dedicated to working on their problems. There are many sources of anger management help available today, much of it free to interested individuals. It is essential for people with anger problems to realize their need for anger management help. Until they are ready to accept responsibility for their actions and choose to make a difference, anger management help will not be effective. Committing to an anger management program will ultimately help an individual to effectively control their temper and logically handle confrontational situations.

As we are all aware Aromatherapy is nothing new to civilization. However it is unlikely that you will find the word man and aromatherapy in the same sentence. In fact if you ask most guys what they know of Aromatherapy for men you would receive a vacant stare in return as they draw blanks in the mental index. The truth of the matter is many properties of Aromatherapy for men will benefit in todayís society. We are not living in the days of hunter gathers so the types of stress a man faces today are different compared to tribal days. Not to say that the amount of stress is not similar to hunting or being hunted. I guess it can be summed up that todayís stress is a battle of the mind. When I think of how Aromatherapy has changed my life I reflect on three major benefits that have taken place in my life. This article will address the benefits of Aromatherapy for men in todayís modern culture.

I think it would be appropriate to start from the beginning and briefly go over what Aromatherapy actually is, in case any of you guys donít know. Believe it or not modern Aromatherapy was actually identified in France by a man named Rene Maurice Gattefosse in the 1920ís. Mr. Gattefosse was a chemist and apparently so prone to getting burned in his lab he became somewhat of a authority on burns from his own personal experience. One day as Mr. Gattefosse lit his arm on fire in a panic he doused the flames in a vat of lavender oil. Gattefosse experienced immediate relief from the pain and additionally in the days to come the recovery process was extremely short with minimal scarring. Compared to the previous burns he had experienced he could not deny he was on to something. After the incident Gattefosse dedicated his life to the study of Aromatherapy. So guys there you go nothing to be shy about Aromatherapy for men is totally natural.

The number one benefit that I have seen happen in my life is the ability to deal with the stress in modern life. Previously to my experiments with Basil Oil my depression what at a all time high. Itís difficult to describe the properties of Basil Oil without smelling them in person. It is important to note that you should never use the exotic variety of basil it could possibly be a source of cancer. However Basil oil is amazing at giving me a second wind at the end of the day. I have more quality time with my daughter and strangely am able to let go of the stress I have had during the day. My focus is sharper so I can think clearly about positive aspects in life and bring my self to a place that is pleasant. I have also used Lemon oil but I tend to favor Basil but you should try both.

When thinking about Aromatherapy for men think about what it can do for us when we are sick. Letís face it most men turn to kittens when a cold strikes. Believe it or not Aromatherapy can get you back to the testosterone injected beefcake you once believed yourself to be. Let me introduce you to my little friendÖ..Eucalyptus oil and mint. During a cold or flu this little combo delivers a knockout in clearing the nasal passages. Give it a shot the next time you a feeling sick. Also another amazing essential oil is Yarrow oil it can get rid of most cold and flu symptoms. Obviously again this is treating the symptoms and not the cause but again it should be enough to get yourself positive enough to fight back mentally.

Aromatherapy for men is also important in the area of skin burns. Lets face it guys are prone to skin burns. A nasty header burn on the leg can be a real bummer for the weekend. Skin burns are no bueno and as previously mentioned lavender oil is a great way to get some relief. You may also want to try Bergamot for cold sores combined with Eucalyptus oil provides amazing relief.

Aromatherapy for men in the future will more than likely be more commonplace than it is today. I know from personal experience that it has had a tremendous effect on my relationship at home after a stressful day. I get through sickness with less misery and if by chance when Iím out playing I should get some sort of skin damage well Iím covered there as well. Aromatherapy for men in all has many uses. Just remember itís making your life easier if you are having trouble getting over the stereotype. You are facing some risks with aromatherapy and in turn you will need to become informed with the techniques involved in producing the results you are looking for. If you are interested I have link to my website below full of information on Aromatherapy and yes Iím a man.

The origin of aroma therapy can be traced back to pre historic period, in the countries of ancient Egypt, Far East and China. The concept aims at the holistic treatment of the human body by making use of the immensely useful essential oils obtained from various herbs and plants.

The essential oils are normally obtained from the various parts of specific plants extracted by distillation and applied along with diluters such as almond oil, coconut oil etc. The oil content in these plants is so low that it takes huge quantities of plant parts to yield smaller quantities of essential oil, to cite an example around 440 ponds of fresh lavender flowers are required to produce a meager 2.5 pounds of essential lavender oil. That makes this product very dear.

The use of these essential oils is a part of ones life style and they takes care of the health and well being of the entire family. These oils have since become very popular in various parts of the world . Though the aromatic plants used to produce these essential oils were known and put to use since time immemorial the term ëaroma therapyí is of recent origin, to be precise from the early 90s only. Let us examine the use of these plants as a scent to alters oneís mood, the general atmosphere in oneís surroundings and to have a feeling of goodness.

Itís a fact that not only the natural scents serve the above purpose but also by the artificial ones. However the minute difference lies in the most natural fragrance of this nature packed oils that when used gives us a wonderful feeling.

The fairy tales behind the aroma therapy like the claim of its power to cure the cancer or the depression are all packed in mystery. No certified or scientific study has been undertaken on these tall claims the plants are supposed to possess. Even natural health experts treat it as a complimentary therapy only. Aromatherapy belongs to branches of conventional medicines or systems that are not subject to any serious study or research leading to any standardization or certification. This branch of herbal science can be used in various applications like in enhancing the beauty of skin and hair, and also on its influence on oneís moods and feelings known as aromacology. Thirdly its medicinal properties is said to cure or prevent ailments. However the best use of the therapy is said to be its wholesome benefit for the body, mind and the spirit.

Between the fantasized divinity attributed for this herbal science and the sheer neglect of this concept as a magnified traditional culture, lies the real truth of this revived ancient science that can be effectively used to get the best out of the herbal plants, hitherto neglected by the civilized society.

Edward Bach (1886 – 1936) was born in Moseley near Birmingham into a family of

welsh extraction. He trained as a Dr and qualified in 1912. He went onto develop a

private practice near Harley Street, London. But slowly he became dissatisfied with

the results of orthodox medicine.

His health was poor and was refused service for WW1 and became very ill himself in

1917. He was determined to continue his work which led to a complete recovery.

From 1919 – 1922 he worked as a bacteriologist at the London Homeopathic

Hospital.

He discovered the work of Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of Homoeopathy, and

recognized the importance of personality and disease. Dr Bach was already

convinced following one’s true vocation is essential to spiritual and physical health.

He still had his Harley Street practice and in his spare time continued to search for a

simple method of treatment. In 1928, at a dinner party, he realised people fell into

several distinct groups. He realised each group of people would react differently to

illness.

In the autumn of 1928 he visited Wales and came back with two plants, Mimulus and

Impatiens and used them on patience after preparing an oral vaccine in the usual

way for that time. He had immediate success. He prescribed according to

personality. Later that year he added Clematis.

In 1930, aged 43, he closed his practice and went to Wales to find more plants from

the countryside. Walking one day he realised intuitively the dew on the flowers

heated by the sun would transmit the healing properties from the flower into the

dew giving him the ‘sun method of preparation’ using natural spring water. From

August 1930 to 1934 Dr Bach live in Cromer, Norfolk, finding more flowers for his

system.

In 1934 he moved to Mount Vernon, Oxfordshire to continue his work. At that time

he suffered himself mentally and physically before finding the next appropriate plant

to affect his condition. He developed the 38 remedies and Rescue Remedy before his

peaceful death there in 1936.

Mount Vernon is still the home of the Bach Flower Remedies and remains the centre

of the training programme today.

“Health can be no more obtained by payment of gold than a child can purchase his

education: no sum of money can teach the pupil to write, he must learn himself,

guided by an experienced teacher. And so it is with health.”
